First rock was dead and from the disintegrated ashes came the birth of punk. Then punk was dead and from those disintegrated ashes came the birth of noise. Now noise is dead and it is musically impossible to flip off a bigger middle finger. This wannabe '80s cassette tape does not intend to spark the ashes of noise and birth a new genre. This is not post-Japanoise. This is not neo-Japanoise. This is simply American Japanoise.

The best first noise thing that I made with Ableton. But I've made better Ableton noise since. Recorded on April 8, 2016.

Go here for an explanation: http://accent.gmu.edu/howto.php. I accidentally said Sheila instead of Stella though. Recorded on March 11, 2016 using a megaphone and an additive synthese waveform generator, just like track 1.

The original recording was just a 2-minute-long thing that I repeated for 17 minutes. And now it only repeats once. Recorded on April 8, 2016 using Ableton.

The name is a quote from this YouTube video of Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins interviewing Boredoms at Lolla '94: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aZzlA5_DLDE. Boredoms didn't speak English and Corgan didn't speak Japanese so it was hilariously awkward. Recorded on May 25, 2016. I obviously had no intention of releasing it since I didn't give it a name; I was just messing around with Ableton. But I listened to it again recently and I was like, "I gotta release it." Maybe it's just cause I've been listening to a lot of Japanoise lately.

Inspired by this YouTube video of Hanatarash live at Bears in Osaka: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L7p_C9OlN40. Recorded on March 11, 2016.

This is the whole "SH/T" EP as one track. Recorded on May 25, 2016.

about

This is partially a recreation of what the original first Hakaibaka release what supposed to be like, which was a parody of Japanoise cassette tapes from the '80s, and partially a Hakaibaka best-of compilation in order to create an album that's better than the actual first Hakaibaka release. The reason why I wanted to create this was because I plan on doing some Japanoise busking (making harsh noise walls in public for money) and I wanna have a thing to promote. This release contains "Evil Las Vegas", a never before-released track (I mean technically I released it the other day but I took it down after I thought of this idea) and the whole "SH/T" EP as one track.

It would be a dream to get this put on actual cassette tapes. I might even get this put on actual CDs. Only one copy of this album got made, instead of the usual 20, and I sold it to my friend Nate. By the way, at over an hour, this is my longest album ever. It didn't have to be over an hour, but the reason why it is is because I put making the two sides about the same length into consideration.
